TIPS

Here are some tips to help maintain and wash your Jiu-Jitsu gi:
1- Rinse Immediately After Use: After training, rinse your gi with cold water as soon as possible to prevent sweat and bacteria from settling into the fabric. This also helps prevent stains from setting in.
2-Wash in Cold Water: Wash your gi in cold water to preserve the fabric and colors. Hot water can cause the gi to shrink and fade faster.
3- Use Mild Detergent: Choose a mild, gentle detergent that is free from bleach or harsh chemicals. Special detergents designed for athletic wear or martial arts gis can help maintain the fabric and remove odors.
4- Avoid Fabric Softner: Fabric softener can break down the fibers of your gi over time and reduce its durability. It also makes it harder for the gi to absorb sweat.
5- Air Dry: Always hang your gi to dry naturally. Avoid using a dryer, as the heat can cause shrinkage and damage the fabric. Let it air dry in a well-ventilated area.
6- Wash inside Out: Turn your gi inside out before washing it to protect the outer fabric and help reduce wear and tear on the embroidery and patches.
7- Wash Seoarately: To prevent color transfer, wash your gi separately from other clothes, especially during the first few washes.
8- Pre-Treat Stains: For stubborn stains, apply a stain remover or soak the affected area in a mixture of baking soda and water before washing.

By following these tips, your gi will stay clean, fresh, and durable for longer, helping you get the most out of your Jiu-Jitsu practice.
